Important Update: Companions Service Paused
We regret to inform you that our Companions Service has been temporarily paused as our funding has ended, and we have been unable to secure a new funder. This vital service has been a lifeline for many vulnerable members of our community.
We are actively seeking funding (£30,000 per year) to restart this service as soon as possible. If you know of any funding opportunities or have connections that could help, please get in touch with us at enquiries@hhd.org.uk.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Harmony House Companions
Our Companionship Service is dedicated to providing emotional support and genuine friendship to those who feel isolated or alone. Recognizing the profound impact that companionship can have on wellbeing, our caring companions offer a warm presence and a listening ear, creating a safe space where beneficiaries can share their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
In addition to providing emotional support, our companions assist with outings, whether it’s a trip to the shops, a visit to a local event, or simply a stroll in the park. They also lend a helping hand with everyday administrative tasks, ensuring that our beneficiaries feel more confident and supported in managing their daily lives.
By fostering these meaningful connections, our Companionship Service enriches the lives of our community members, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance their overall quality of life. We believe that everyone deserves to feel valued and connected, and through our dedicated service, we strive to build a caring network that nurtures a sense of belonging and community for all.
